How we determine our charges

Explains the building blocks we use in setting charges, including Government guidance, general principles and the consultation and approval process.

When we set our charges we must consider statutory requirements and Government guidance. We also apply general principles that have been established to ensure that charges fairly reflect the costs of regulating an operator or providing a service.
