Helping businesses improve their environmental performance
We have developed sector plans for a number of industry sectors to help businesses lessen their impact on the environment.
We work closely with industry representatives to look at the industry's current performance, agree environmental priorities for the future and write their industry's sector plan.
What is in a sector plan?
Our environmental plans cover a minimum of five years and include:
- Environmental priorities, objectives and indicators for performance
- An overview of key environmental, economic and social issues
- Information on how that sector is currently performing environmentally
- Focus on the main areas for improvement
- Actions for us
- Actions for the industry sector (some voluntary, some regulated)
