The fees depend on the number of tonnes of WEEE which you expect to issue evidence notes for:
'Small' Approvals - Those expecting to issue evidence on 400 tonnes or less, the application fee will be £500.
'Large' Approvals - Those expecting to issue evidence for more than 400 tonnes, the application fee will be £2,570.
Guidance on evidence notes and WEEE protocols
All evidence should be issued through the Settlement Centre. This is an online system set up by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, in order for evidence notes to be issued and to facilitate the trading of evidence.
If you are using either of the protocols for Small Mixed WEEE (SMW) or Large Domestic Appliances (LDA) when issuing evidence notes, we have produced some guidance to assist you in calculating your evidence correctly:
Independent audit reports
Each Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) and Approved Exporter (AE) needs to provide an Independent Audit Report by 31 March each year they are approved. Please read the guidance below:
Suspension and cancellation of approval
