Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Network (LGBT)

The LGBT Network within the Environment Agency is open to LGBT employees, or anyone who supports our cause. We provide support to LGBT staff and challenge the organisation to improve awareness and inclusion of all staff.

We currently rank 18th in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index (1st in Wales for the third year running), a benchmark of LGB-friendly organisations across the UK. We have top level support and recognise that 'people perform better when they can be themselves' (Stonewall) and are working towards a culture where harassment and discrimination are not tolerated on any grounds.
