Selection criteria
We’re looking for people who are motivated, professionally minded, focused and committed to a career in flood risk management.
You’ll need to have strong mathematical abilities. An A-level in Mathematics or an equivalent qualification is essential.
You’ll also need a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above. And you’ll have, or be expecting to achieve, at least 160 UCAS points. This is equivalent to two A-levels at Grade C, or one double vocational A-level at Grade C. It also equates to a National Certificate at MM or a National Diploma at MPP. - Read through the form carefully before submitting, checking for grammatical and spelling errors.

- Do your research - this will help you complete the application form.

- Don’t leave completing the form until the last possible moment before the closing deadline.
Application Process
Our application process is split into two stages:
- You’ll need to fill out the online application form, providing information on your educational achievements, work experience and why you’re interested in the programme. Please refer to the hints and tips section for further information.
- If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to an interview, taking place in July 2011. While there, you’ll also get to meet Flood and Coastal Risk Management staff and ask any questions that you may have.
