The River Severn CFMP covers the catchment down to Gloucester, including tributaries, e.g. the Avon and Teme. The CFMP includes much of the counties of Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire, covering 15,000 km² and a population of over 2.24 million people.
The Severn Tidal Tributaries CFMP lies in the county of Gloucestershire, with a population of over 250,000 people. The CFMP area is largely rural, covering 1,000 km², with around 90 per cent of the land being used for agriculture.
The River Trent CFMP covers the entire River Trent catchment from its source above Stafford down to the boundary with the shoreline management plan (SMP) at Keadby Bridge. Beyond this the River Trent flows into the Humber Estuary. The CFMP area includes all of the River Trent’s tributaries, covering an area of 10,452 km² and around six million people.
